In 2016, Image Access began developing a new type of large format scanner, specifically designed to scan fine art. In March of 2017, the first WideTEK 36ART fine art scanner was introduced at the CeBIT Technology Fair in Hannover, Germany
The Scan2Net® technological platform forms the basis of all Bookeye® book scanners and WideTEK® large format scanners. Scan2Net® eliminates the need for proprietary drivers and interface cards and uses what is currently fastest, open connection to PC-based systems: TCP / IP over Ethernet.
The color flatbed scanners, WideTEK® 12, WideTEK® 25 and WideTEK® 24F have been designed to produce fast scans in optimal image resolution, suitable to fit just about any application requirement.
The WideTEK® wide format scanners are the fastest and most productive wide format scanners on the market. All of the specified scanning speeds are guaranteed, due to the Scan2Net® technology integrated into the scanner´s own built-in 64-bit Linux PC. A Scan2Net® scanner is a true standalone system capable of scanning directly to FTP servers, hot folders, USB drives, to cloud applications in the internet, or copying to printers directly, without the need for an extra PC.
